Part Numbers

Sometimes people send us wrong part numbers or no part numbers at all when they use the support form.
First of all, this will cause delays when we try to work out answer emails and, of course, those numerous emails we will have to send in these cases may annoy our customers. Second, we simply cannot identify many of the devices you are talking about.
Where is the part number?
Usually you will find the part number close to the bar code.
DIGITUS® part numbers start with DA, DC, or DN. New product numbers might also start with DS (*in cases of DC-... products it might be necessary to enter DS-... instead of DC-... . These products are identical.)
Products of the Assmann company are labeled with A or AB at the beginning.
On the right you can find some examples where a part number can be found.
In cases a product's packing is no longer available to you it may help you to have a closer look at the device itself. Many of our products feature a part number at the left side, right side, or bottom side of the device.
If this does not apply to your product you can identify the product by using the product site.
Keywords like USB, LAN, Router, or other common words will direct you to a list of devices.
Yet, if you still cannot spot the device you are looking for in the product lists it is also possible to contact the support team without a part number. Then our team will help you identify your device.
Many problem descriptions sent to us are general descriptions of problems. That is why part numbers are usually used for statistical purposes only.
To tell us the part number of a product you purchased is, however, in no way superfluous, and certain kinds of problems can only be fixed if we know the part number!
You can also use the EAN. This number is written below the bar code.
